Jeffrey Imber, Ph.D., RFC.
President | Financial Planner
Jeffrey A. Imber first became intrigued by money when, as a child, his father introduced him to the magic of compound interest. In junior high school, he bought his first stock in Chrysler Corporation and watched the company’s value grow, plummet, then rebound after the government bailed out Chrysler.
Through these early experiences, Jeffrey learned the importance of saving and investing. As a longtime business owner, Jeffrey knows what it means to create wealth and provide security for his family without an employer-provided pension. As president of Imber Wealth Advisors, he’s helping others with varying financial resources do the same.
Jeffrey excels at truly listening to his clients and building a relationship of trust. Earlier in his career, as a psychologist, Jeff saw first-hand how money issues created problems in people’s lives, including those who were in or transitioning into retirement. He decided that he wanted to specialize in an area where he could help people solve their financial challenges and develop strategic plans to help them enjoy their retirement years. Then, and now as a financial advisor, he has been his clients’ trusted professional. He is a member of the National Ethics Association and maintains the fiduciary standard of putting clients’ best interests first and foremost.
For more than a decade, Jeffrey has helped shepherd his clients into and through retirement by giving them a specific plan of action. Using a client-centered approach, he creates dynamic financial plans that are wisdom-based and built upon each family’s personal goals, values, needs and resources. He has helped them to achieve financial confidence in their retirement along with a lifetime of income. In addition, he and his team of associates integrate tax and estate planning* to shape the complete Imber Wealth Advisors approach.
In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and is very involved at Dexter United Methodist Church. He also likes to golf, a passion that led him to work with the Michigan State University’s men’s golf program as the Mental Game Skills Consultant. The team achieved two Big Ten Championships during his tenure.
Jeffrey is a Registered Financial Consultant, and is dually licensed as an Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65 - Uniform Registered Investment Adviser Law Exam) and an Insurance professional. Marilyn, his wife of over 25 years, has recently retired from the firm. She has been able to take on the full time role as a grandmother to her two youngest grandchildren, Joslyn and Mia. Jeffrey and Marilyn have three adult children: David, a U.S. Army Airborne Ranger and Army Captain who has served our country in Iraq; Jonathan, a licensed insurance professional who works side by side with his father every day; and Lindsey, an accomplished chef and nutritional scientist.
